Experience the thrill of honing your skills and exploring new horizons joining the 2 performance projects with Zoe Jakes and Olga Meos, Sara Lyn "Move Like Honey" Intensive and all the saturday and sunday workshops, tailored to dancers of all levels.

From enchanting routines to dynamic and exciting choreographies specifically created for The Fifth Dimension, this festival is the perfect place to grow as amateur and pro dancer. The Festival will gather the international Fusion Bellydance community, we are so excited to meet everyone of you!

GUEST INSTRUCTORS

Get ready to be challenged and inspired by our extraordinary international guest instructors at the Fifth Dimension Dance Festival.

They will share a total of 34 hours of dance classes with special topics, including:

4 exclusive Performance Projects, 6 hours each, tailored for the Fifth Dimension show by Zoe Jakes and Olga Meos
"Move Like Honey" special mini intensive, 6 hours long, led by the incomparable Sara Lyn, in Italy for the very first time.
2 days of workshops, encompassing a total of 16 hours, covering a diverse array of themes presented by all the festival's esteemed instructors.

SCHEDULE

All the Performance Projects and workshops will be held in Rome Italy.
The Dance Studios will be easily accessible from the airports and the central train station, and well connected with the Rome subway system. It will be equipped with mirrors, air conditioning and situated in an area that provides various options for quick snacks, lunches or dinners.

Get ready to join us for an enchanting evening at the Fifth Dimension Dance Festival!
Picture this: a cozy night by the Tiber River in the heart of Rome, surrounded by dancers from all corners of the globe

✶ The 𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙄𝙈𝘼𝙏𝙀 𝙎𝙃𝙊𝙒𝘾𝘼𝙎𝙀 at the Fifth Dimension Dance Festival will take place:
☛ 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 Lian Club, Lungotevere dei Mellini, 7 – 00193 Roma
☛ 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘: July 6th, from 20:00 to 21:30

✶ Entry is free, but since it's a Saturday night, the restaurant requires guests to have dinner. So, anyone sitting at a table will need to order food.
Alternatively, it's possible to stay in the cocktail area if you'd prefer just to have drinks.
Remember it's an intimate location :) If you want a seat at tables arrive by 7:30 PM and say "The Fifth Dimension Festival", we manage to have some tables around the stage.
It's not possible to reserve tables, but if you arrive early, you could find one. First come, first served (and best tables!)

Improve your fluidity and make your dancing look and feel more effortless in this 6 hour intensive!

Do you want to bring more gooiness into your movements and make your dancing look and feel effortless? This is the intensive for YOU!

This is Sara's absolute FAVORITE topic and she is so excited to bring you a brand new intensive where you are going to be diving deep into what it means to "Move Like Honey" and how to embody this feeling so that it translates in your dancing and feels good in your body. Sara is going to be sharing her favorite exercises, tips & techniques to unlock your ultimate gooiness!

This 6 hour intensive will give you the tools to:

Cleanly connect movements together with the Move Like Honey Approach
Create your own pathways/fluid combinations
Move with more ease- get out of the head and into the body
Improve your improvisation and musicality
Keep progressing with specific exercises designed for optimal fluidity that you can bring into your regular personal practice!

We invite you to an exciting journey into the world of dance details! Our creative workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to take a deep dive into exploring and expressing emotions through small movements. This will be an ideal opportunity for anyone who wishes to improve their dance skills and create a unique dance performance.

Various techniques and exercises will be discussed that will help you improve your accuracy and precision. After all, even the smallest movements can be full of energy and emotional charge. We will explore different ways to convey emotions through movement and learn how to transform them into authentic and powerful expressive gestures.

VALENTEENA IANNI

ECHOES FROM THE MOON

Valenteena will present new combinations with a mystical touch inspired by the Moon that will be added to her Karma Echoes collection. These new Echoes can be used as a tool in choreographies, improvisation or in any way you desire! Valenteena’s Echoes form a vocabulary of combinations each of which has its name, counts and specific technique. They have been reoccurring in her dance style all over the past years... they are Echoes indeed! The goal of Karma Echoes is to provide new inspiration in your dance. Practice and using these combinations over the time will bring cleaning, fluidity and a better sense of musicality in Fusion Bellydance.

In this workshop you will learn curated routines designed to become your personal daily or weekly Rituals. Each Ritual comprises exercises to prepare, clean and train the body and also the mind, intricate combinations to enhance fluidity and musicality, new arm patterns that will beautifully frame your dance and improve your coordination, drilling and layering exercises exploring various speeds.

Each routine serves a specific purpose, providing comprehensive preparation and training in different aspects.

Repeat these routines throughout the week to engage both body and mind, transforming them into your immersive dance weekly Rituals.

This workshop will give you the tools to hear and be the music. Utilizing short phrases and premade combinations, we will play with timing and dynamics by interpreting different songs, and the dancers will learn to improvise timing and dynamics to create a deeper connection to the heart of the song they are dancing to. After this workshop dancers will feel more connected to their music and confident with interpretation.

Metaphor is a figurative expression, a hidden comparison based on the similarity of concepts or phenomena.

«Metaphor in Dance» is a unique dance class that focuses on using metaphorical concepts and imagery to express emotion and create a deep dance narrative. In this class, dancers will explore the possibilities of dance as an artistic language capable of conveying abstract ideas and emotions through symbols and metaphors.
